Kootenai Prosthetics and Orthotics has been serving patients in the Inland Northwest for 40 Years.
We work as a team with you, the patient, your family, the physician, physical therapist and rehabilitation specialist to deliver appropriate, timely prosthetic and orthotic care.
At Kootenai Prosthetics & Orthotics, you will be treated with respect and consideration. Your individual needs and hopes take the forefront in your treatment plan. Your anxieties and fears will be addressed thoughtfully and compassionately. We trust your judgment and knowledge of your own body, and we will make sure you understand instructions, procedure and anticipated outcomes.
KPO’s in-house fabrication lab enables us to custom design and fabricate all of our prescribed devices. Because our practitioners and technicians work together daily, we are able to control the quality of each product, design custom devices and make timely adjustments or repairs to your prosthetic or orthotic device when necessary.
In order to give our patients the highest quality care, KPO practitioners and technicians stay abreast of new practices and design solutions through continuing education and specialized training.Kootenai Prosthetics is located in Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene. Our clinics offer convenient locations and we provide inpatient services at area hospitals and nursing homes.
KPO practitioners and technicians are certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC) and are members of the American Academy of Orthotics and Prosthetics (AAOP).
But what does all this mean to you, the patient? ABC certified practitioners have had formal, professional training at a qualified college, have served at least one year of supervised residency under a certified practitioner and have passed rigorous oral, written and practical exams.
KPO practitioners and technicians regularly attend seminars, training and conferences to keep abreast of changes in the industry and technological innovations. Our staff’s solid education plus continual training means we provide you with high quality care and excellent service.
When you become a patient at KPO, you become part of the team, and we are here to help you. Every step of the way.
